Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Answer Your Common Questions About SSDs

Industrial Memory Chips

Which product line should I start with?
Match your controller and BOM: DDR3 for legacy platforms, DDR4/DDR5 for solder-down DRAM chips, LPDDR4X for low-power SoC and mobile industrial terminals, eMMC for solder-down flash, NVMe BGA for compact PCIe storage on the PCB. Send your BOM—our engineering team will recommend the right family and part number by email.
How does engineering support work?
Remote only on your email inquiry thread—no routine on-site visits. We review drawings, memory maps, incumbent parts, pinout, and footprint so you can use it—and use it well on your hardware. Engineering support runs from Ningbo (sales/contracts) and Xi’an (R&D/QA)—same program. We respond on China business days (Monday–Friday UTC+8), excluding Chinese statutory holidays. We usually reply within 24 hours on those days with PDF datasheet and quotation.
What standards and certificates apply?
GB/T 19001-2016 / ISO 9001:2015 (quality system), business registration, trademarks, patents, and high-tech enterprise credentials are shown in the documentation gallery. Design compliance: JEDEC DRAM (e.g. JESD79-3F DDR3, JESD79-4 DDR4, JESD79-5 DDR5) and eMMC 5.1 (JESD84-B51.1); lead-free, RoHS-aligned. Full AC timing and MSL are in the product PDF.China-domestic supply documentation: selected lines (DDR3, DDR5, LPDDR4X) can support programs that require verified China-domestic supply and certification documents—not required for most global export programs; ask sales if your AVL needs it.
Are these chips for military or defense use?
No. We do not market these devices for military or defense end-use. Industrial WT and Industrial Ext grades reflect harsh industrial qualification—cold outdoor telecom, oil & gas edge, hot cabinet infrastructure—not armed-forces programs.
What MSL (moisture sensitivity) level applies?
MSL grade is listed on each product datasheet (typically MSL 3 for DRAM/LPDDR4X). Follow J-STD-033 bake and floor-life rules for production. Email engineering if your EMS needs the handling note for a specific part number.
Are different capacities pin-compatible on the same package?
DDR3 2Gb/4Gb/8Gb on FBGA96 ×16 share the same ball map. DDR4 FBGA78 (×8) and FBGA96 (×16) are different packages—not interchangeable; each listed chip is an 8Gb die (1GB byte capacity). DDR5 is 16Gb per chip (2GB byte capacity). Confirm organization and footprint from the datasheet PDF or by email before AVL lock.
How are temperature ratings defined?
Published −40~85°C (Industrial WT) and −55~105°C (Industrial Ext) ranges are case temperature (Tc) ratings for the stated speed bins under JEDEC operating rules—covering both low-temperature cold starts and high-temperature sealed-cabinet duty where those grades are orderable. Your enclosure thermal model and airflow still matter—share thermal data by email for grade selection. Orderable temp ranges are in the PN tables above and the product PDF (not “confirm later” placeholders).
Where are eMMC endurance and performance numbers?
pSLC vs TLC PE cycles, sequential read/write, and features such as Boot/RPMB are documented in the product datasheet PDF—not on this summary page. Request the datasheet for your capacity and flash type.
What is your PCN / EOL policy?
Product change notices (PCN) for material or process changes are issued in writing—typically 90 days before implementation. Planned end-of-life (EOL) is typically communicated 12 months in advance with last-buy opportunities where applicable. Full terms are on your commercial quotation.
How are parts packaged for shipment?
DDR/LPDDR4X are typically shipped in industrial trays; eMMC may be tray or tape-and-reel depending on part number. All units ship in ESD moisture-barrier packaging. Minimum pack quantities (MPQ) are stated on the quote.
What happens after I submit the inquiry form?
We email what you requested—PDF datasheet and quotation for your line—and answer technical questions on that thread. Ask in your email if you want ongoing project updates.
How do you protect my privacy?
We take customer privacy seriously. Your contact details and project information stay with Loongtion only—we never sell or share them with third parties. No spam emails, no unsolicited sales calls—only replies related to your inquiry on your email thread.
What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
Very low MOQ—quoted per product line, not one number for everything. Many lines can ship from 1 piece when we have stock; production MOQ depends on grade, package, and your quantity. Tell us what you need in your inquiry or message—we don’t turn away small pilot orders.
What are your commercial terms?
See Commercial terms: low MOQ per line (often from 1 pc when stocked), T/T 50% + 50%, ship from Ningbo, China, bulk lead 4–8 weeks (working days), quotation valid 7 days.
What warranty applies to bulk orders?
On qualified industrial bulk programs, under normal operating conditions and non-human damage: we offer a 5-year free-replacement commitment when you show normal-use failure with reasonable evidence. See scope & exclusions; full terms on your quotation.
